Gwinnett Property Taxes Due Oct. 15
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga., Oct.10, 2023 — Tax Commissioner Denise R. Mitchell reminds homeowners the deadline to pay 2023 tax bills, Oct. 15, is quickly approaching.
Taxpayers can view, print and pay their bills online with an e-check, credit card or debit card at www.GwinnettTaxCommissioner.com/Pay. Mitchell said paying with an echeck is safe, secure, efficient and free.
Payments made online with debit and credit cards incur added convenience fees. The debit card fee is $3.95. The fee for using credit cards and PayPal is 2.25% of the total paid.
In addition to paying online individuals have three additional options to pay:
- Drop box: Check payments may be placed in drop boxes at any tag office.
- In-person: Payments with cash, check, money order or debit or credit card can be made during business hours at any Gwinnett County Tax Commissioner’s Office.
- Mail: Checks can be mailed to P.O. Box 372, Lawrenceville, GA 30046.
Payments postmarked by midnight Oct. 15 are considered paid on time, even if they are received or processed in the Gwinnett County Tax Commissioner’s Office, or GCTC after the due date (metered mail dates are not acceptable proof).
Although mortgage companies have access to property tax information, owners with tax escrow accounts are responsible for ensuring their taxes are paid on time. Property owners can also verify the status of their taxes on the payment website.
