2023 Gwinnett County Property Tax Bill Mailings Begin August 10
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga., Aug. 9, 2023 – Gwinnett County Tax Commissioner Denise R. Mitchell announced today that the 2023 property tax bills will be mailed starting Thursday. The bills are due October 15.
Beginning August 10, taxpayers will be able to view, print and pay their bills online with an e-check, credit card or debit card at www.GwinnettTaxCommissioner.com/Pay.
Mitchell encourages citizens to pay their property taxes online.
“Paying online with an e-check is safe, secure, easy and free. It is the best way for Gwinnett citizens to pay their property tax bills,” said Mitchell. “It eliminates concerns about mail delivery, the need to stand in line, use gas or look for postage.”
Payments made online with debit and credit cards incur added convenience fees. The debit card fee is $3.95. The fee for using credit cards and PayPal is 2.25 percent of the total paid.
Individuals who sold homes this year will still receive a tax bill, along with the buyer - click here to learn why. Although mortgage companies have access to property tax information, owners with tax escrow accounts are responsible for ensuring their taxes are paid on time.
Individuals who have questions about their tax bills can call Property Tax Customer Service from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays at (770) 822-8800, or they can email Tax@GwinnettCounty.com. Assistance is also available in person at the main property tax office located at the Gwinnett Justice Center at 75 Langley Drive in Lawrenceville. Customers can reduce their wait in line by scheduling an appointment in advance at www.GwinnettTaxCommissioner.com. To schedule, individuals should click “Property Tax Office, Make an Appointment.”
